From 12 March 2020 to 5 May 2023, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the COVID-19 (COronaVIrus Disease 2019) outbreak a pandemic. COVID-19 has spread to more than 200 countries, territories, and international conveyances, infected more than 680 million people and taken more than 6.8 million lives globally.
The COVID-19 Data Hackathon was initiated to report ongoing progress made in the fight against COVID-19 and to aid in better preparing for future pandemics by integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods and tools with Biomedical and Health Informatics (BHI).
The Phase 2, has been ongoing and will continue until 29 September 2023. For all teams who are interested in participating, follow the instructions on https://bhi.embs.org/2023/data-competition/.
The final winning teams from Phase 1 and Phase 2 will receive IEEE cash awards and will be invited to write a paper for the IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics (JBHI, Impact Factor 7.7). All participants will receive participation certificates.
